Bill Pickett was a Texas cattle wrangler.  The son as well as husband to former slaves, Pickett invented the cowboy practice of “Bull-dogging,” the skill of grabbing cattle by the horns and wrestling them to the ground.  He joined Buffalo Bill’s wild west show and took part in this 1921 film by Richard E. Norman.
